Henry Cavill and Freya Allan begin preparing to film The Witcher Season 2

After a long hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the second season of Netflix’s The Witcher resumes filming on August 17 and is currently planned to wrap by February 2021. Meanwhile, pre-production has already started and series leads Henry Cavill and Freya Allan are already on site at Arborfield Studios preparing to film in about three weeks.

While we don’t have a photo of Henry Cavill, we do know he’s back at work, as always, inseparable from his dog Kal. Freya, on the other hand, revealed on her Instagram that she’s been working too.

In a recent interview, Lauren Hissrich mentioned that they have been in the middle of shooting a big action scene. “We were literally in the middle of a big sequence we had been preparing for months“, she told The Wrap.

We can’t surely say which action scene from the first two episodes would that be, but it’s possible that what Lauren refers to is the fight involving Geralt, Ciri, Nivellen and Vereena in the premiere episode of Season 2. This could be the scene Henry and Freya are currently prepping for.

In any case, it’s good to see the cast getting back to the studio and prepping for the shoot.
