Spoiler report: Netflix to make big changes to Eskel’s role in The Witcher

The second season of Netflix’s The Witcher , as we all know, will show us Geralt’s family in Kaer Morhen in the form of his fellow witchers. As it was announced earlier last year, Kim Bodnia , Paul Bullion , Basil Eidenbenz and Yasen Atour would be joining Henry Cavill ‘s Geralt of Rivia as Vesemir , Lambert , Eskel and Coën respectively. And while all that sounds lovely, we found out something alarming about the Kaer Morhen storyline. If you don’t want to know any spoilers for season two, don’t read further. Seriously, even if you have read the books. Major spoilers below : Back in October 2020 we reported that at the Hodge Close Quarry The Witcher filmed a scene with at least Henry Cavill (Geralt), Paul Bullion (Lambert) and wolves or a wolf. We also mentioned that the wolf appeared to be eating a corpse. PHOTO: The Witcher Transforms Guildford Cathedral into a Nilfgaardian Palace

Production for the third season of Netflix’s The Witcher is in its final stretch, with only about ten days of filming remaining. And yet, the Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra and Freya Allan series still has work to do, including out on location. A few days ago we reported that filming would take place in the Guildford Cathedral for episodes 7 and 8. We didn’t know at the time what it would be used for, but made a few suggestions. And one of them was correct. Nilfgaard is coming As we suggested in our last piece, the cathedral could be the throne room of Loc Grim , Emperor Emhyr ‘s summer residence. Now we have a confirmation as the banners inside the cathedral can be seen showing the Nilfgaardian golden sun. The Witcher prequel series ‘Blood Origin’ adds 8 actors

Netflix’s The Witcher franchise is expanding and well on its way to become a proper cinematic universe. The streaming giant has several prequels and side-projects in the making, including a stand-alone anime film and a family-friendly show . However, the project that lies closest in the future is the limited prequel series titled Blood Origin , a live-action show set 1200 years before the events of The Witcher . Blood Origin features a large ensemble cast lead by Sophia Brown (Eile), Laurence O’Fuarain (Fjall) and Michelle Yeoh (Scían), with what looks to be a guest appearance from Jaskier star Joey Batey in a narrating role. Adding to that, we can reveal eight new actors who have joined the project. A game of clans and kings?
