EXCLUSIVE: New Nilfgaardian armour in The Witcher finally revealed!

In May 2019 we were able to reveal the Nilfgaardian armour that would be featured in the first season of The Witcher that was then in production. The story blew up, people had all kinds of opinions and one and a half year and a new costume designer later, we can finally reveal the brand new Nilfgaardian armour that was changed from the previous one.

Captured at Fountain Abbey by professional photographer Terry Blackburn, we can see Eamon Farren as Cahir rocking his new black and golden armour set:

As you can see, Cahir is not alone. Top Nilfgaardian sorceress Fringilla Vigo is with him played by Mimi Ndiweni and she also has a very interesting new costume.

It’s very interesting what is happening in the scene above, but before we speculate, there’s one more thing that we want to reveal. Stay tuned for that!

Henry Cavill Injury Doesn't Affect Production

By now you've likely heard that Henry Cavill has injured himself during a shoot for The WItcher. United Kingdom media giant The Sun , reported the news first on Cavill's injury. A source close to the show had this to say regarding the injury, "He just suddenly pulled up and was clearly in a lot of pain. It wasn’t clear if an object had hit his leg or it was some sort of hamstring or muscle injury." This took place while Henry was suspended 20 feet in the air for a major scene. While the title of The Sun's article alludes to the production schedule going into chaos, Deadline.com has now also shared the news but notes that any impact to production is not heavily felt due to the coming holiday shut down. The Witcher Season 3 to enter production in early 2022

Everyone is eagerly waiting for The Witcher Season 2 on December 17, but the work on the next season doesn’t stay still and the scripts are being written as we speak. If you recall, Season 3 of The Witcher will have a number of new writers who started their work this July. We were wondering when filming for the next season would begin and now we have a window. Thanks to the newest listing on Production Weekly, we now know that Season 3 of The Witcher is planned to enter production in the first quarter of 2022 . But bear in mind that production schedules are never solid and are always subject to change, especially in a post-covid world.
