The Witcher announces new cast for Season 3, including Milva, Mistle and Radovid
Season 3 of The Witcher entered production two weeks ago and it’s been a recent Netflix PR strategy/tradition to announce new cast of any new season of a returning series around the time cameras start rolling. Thus, here are four new faces that will be joining Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra and Freya Allan.
Meng’er Zhang as Milva

We’ve already revealed some time ago that Milva would appear in The Witcher Season 3 and Netflix just confirmed it. Here’s her official description:
“A human adopted by the dryads of Brokilon Forest, Milva is a fierce and talented huntress. Exact archery skills coupled with a stone-cold aptitude for survival make her a formidable adversary in the unforgiving Continent – those that cross her, do so at their peril.“

Meng’er Zhang‘s most recent big credit it Shang-Chi and Legend of the Ten Rings, where she plays Xu Xialing, Shang-Chi’s sister.
Christelle Elwin as Mistle

Mistle is a tad unexpected casting for Season 3 as she appears in the books a little later, but Netflix seems to have brought her introduction forward. Here’s the Netflix description:
“Mistle is a member of The Rats, a gang of misfit teenagers who steal from the rich and give to themselves – and sometimes the poor. She is street hard, suspicious of everyone and out for revenge, until a chance meeting that will change everything.“
Christelle Elwin‘s credits include Netflix’s Half Bad and Bloods.
Hugh Skinner as Prince Radovid

Yes, this is Radovid himself, but no, in the Netflix version he’s not Vizimir’s son, but rather his younger brother. We already figured Vizimir might have a younger brother in the first uncovered Season 3 audition tape, but didn’t imagine he could be Radovid. In the tape, the prince seemed to have been flirting with Jaskier.

Netflix described Radovid as following:
“Royal playboy and younger brother to King Vizimir, Radovid finds himself suddenly a man on the inside of the Redanian Intelligence. With his good looks and drunken charm, Radovid amazes with how incisive he can be in political affairs, but it’s all games until someone gets hurt.“
Hugh Skinner‘s credits include Poldark, Fleabag, The Windsors and more.
Robbie Amell as Gallatin

Gallatin is the new, original character out of the four announced, but maybe he’s not entirely new as his description and position feels very familiar to Isengrim. Perhaps he’s an amalgamation of Isengrim and someone else, but perhaps there’s still a chance to see Isengrim in the latter seasons.
“A born fighter, Gallatin leads an army of guerrilla Scoia’tael fighting on behalf of Nilfgaard. Unafraid to speak his truth, Gallatin’s loyalty to his people ultimately leads him on a collision course with Francesca over power.”
Robbie Amell recently played Chris Redfield in the Resident Evil live-action reboot attempt titled Welcome to Raccoon City.
Other cast members for The Witcher Season 3 that Netflix didn’t announce today include Safiyya Ingar, Jim Sturgeon and Sean Cernow. Follow Redanian Intelligence for more news!
