House of the Dragon Season 2 Now Filming Blood and Cheese

The second season of HBO’s hit House of the Dragon starring Emma D’Arcy, Matt Smith and Olivia Cooke has finished filming in Spain and has returned to England’s Leavesden Studios, where the majority of the season is being filmed, including Blood and Cheese.

We have learned that House of the Dragon Season 2 is currently filming the brutal and infamous scene that is known to readers and Blood and Cheese, named after the two men who committed the act.

We already revealed back in April that Mark Stobbart was cast as Cheese. Now we are confident to suggest that Sam C. Wilson (Hanna, Dodger) is playing Blood.

Back in February, we reported that House of the Dragon was looking for Blood codenamed ‘Boris’. “Boris is large, tough and very tall. He’s a man who’s willing to do violence without question. The actor for Blood is also encouraged to have comedic chops.“

It looks like they found their Boris aka Blood in Sam C. Wilson, who is also 195 cm (6″5). He also posted a photo a few days ago, indicating Blood’s full bearded look.

House of the Dragon Season 2 is in production for a 2024 release at HBO. Follow Redanian Intelligence for more news on House of the Dragon as well as other series.

House of the Dragon Season 2 Adds a New Member of House Strong and More New Cast

Season 2 of HBO’s  Game of Throne s prequel  House of the Dragon  starring Emma D’Arcy, Matt Smith and Olivia Cooke continues to film in Leavesden Studios despite both the WGA and SAF-AFTRA strikes, because of their deal with Equity UK which is not part of the strike. Today, we have a few new castings to share for Season 2 of House of the Dragon. Graeme McKnight as Paxter Strong Graeme McKnight Actor Graeme McKnight has joined the second season of House of the Dragon as Paxter Strong . Strong will appear in three episodes of the new season, so his role is recurring. There is no character named Paxter Strong in George R.R. Martin’s Fire and Blood , so he’s rather a show invention. Or perhaps more likely one of Simon Strong ‘s (Simon Russell Beale) grandsons, who were never given names in the books. Thus, half an invention, half based on the books. House of the Dragon Season 3 Starts Active Development

HBO doesn’t rest on its laurels regarding its hit series House of the Dragon with 2024 being a big year for the Westeros universe. Not only Season 2 of House of the Dragon will be released this Summer, but also the Dunk & Egg series will start filming this Spring. But that’s not all, as work on Season 3 must begin as well. Work on House of the Dragon Season 3 begins very soon We’ve learned that work on House of the Dragon Season 3 such as active script writing and other very early things begin fully this month, January 2024 . It’s too early to speak of any filming dates, but if previous seasons are any indication, the scripts realistically won’t be done until about Q3/Q4 of this year. Writing for Season 2 of House of the Dragon started around April/May 2022 and cameras started rolling almost a whole year later, in April 2023.
