The Witcher is filming a crucial action scene for Season 2

Production for the second season of Netflix’s The Witcher resumed a month ago and so far we didn’t have any major news about what’s going on. Luckily, we were able to learn something very curious that involves Henry Cavill, Freya Allan as well as some of the newcomers of the upcoming season.

If you don’t want any spoilers for the upcoming season of The Witcher, turn back.

Redanian Intelligence has learned that the cast and crew of The Witcher is currently filming a sizeable action scene that takes place in Kaer Morhen, the home of witchers from the School of the Wolf. The scene we heard of involves Geralt, Ciri, Vesemir, Lambert, Eskel, Coën  as well as several original witchers such as Hemrik played by Joel Adrian.

We do not know who or what they are fighting, but if it takes so many skilled fighters to overcome, it must be someone or something quite powerful.

We don’t have any solid confirmations on who these witchers are at the moment, but we are pretty sure the following actors/stuntmen are among those portraying them: Jota Castellano, Chuey Okoye, Max Kraus (who was found a little earlier) and Nathanial Jacobs who, besides acting, was also an editor on the first season of The Witcher. All of them are tall and well trained, as per the casting pattern for the witchers.

Who or what are all these tough monster slayers fighting? To be honest, we don’t know, but we do suspect it might be the leshy we reported on earlier this year.

To remind you, back in February we reported that a leshy would appear in the second season of The Witcher and its encounter with the characters will bear “serious consequences”.

Perhaps the consequences are the witcher lives that are lost during this fight, but it’s all speculation for now.

Henry Cavill Injury Doesn't Affect Production

By now you've likely heard that Henry Cavill has injured himself during a shoot for The WItcher. United Kingdom media giant The Sun , reported the news first on Cavill's injury. A source close to the show had this to say regarding the injury, "He just suddenly pulled up and was clearly in a lot of pain. It wasn’t clear if an object had hit his leg or it was some sort of hamstring or muscle injury." This took place while Henry was suspended 20 feet in the air for a major scene. While the title of The Sun's article alludes to the production schedule going into chaos, Deadline.com has now also shared the news but notes that any impact to production is not heavily felt due to the coming holiday shut down. The Witcher Season 3 to enter production in early 2022

Everyone is eagerly waiting for The Witcher Season 2 on December 17, but the work on the next season doesn’t stay still and the scripts are being written as we speak. If you recall, Season 3 of The Witcher will have a number of new writers who started their work this July. We were wondering when filming for the next season would begin and now we have a window. Thanks to the newest listing on Production Weekly, we now know that Season 3 of The Witcher is planned to enter production in the first quarter of 2022 . But bear in mind that production schedules are never solid and are always subject to change, especially in a post-covid world.
