The Witcher Season 3 to film in Wales

After Italy, Croatia, Slovenia and England, Season 3 of The Witcher is adding another country to its resume: Wales. It will join Hungary, Poland, Austria, Slovakia, Spain and Scotland from the first two seasons, which means Wales will be the tenth country to host the Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra and Freya Allan Netflix series.

Director Gandja Monteiro shared on her Instagram that the crew were scouting a number of locations in Wales along with director of photography Dale McCready (The Last Kingdom, Tin Star, Merlin). Monteiro is presumably directing two episodes in the middle of the season. Either 3 and 4, or 5 and 6.

It is currently unclear when the cast and crew will go to Wales for filming, but it shouldn’t be too long. A few weeks at most.

At the moment, The Witcher is filming what looks like Belleteyn at the Epping Forest and we have some photos of the camp, so do take a look!

Filming for The Witcher Season 3 is ecpected to end in late August or early September. Stay tuned to Redanian Intelligence and do pop into our discord server to join in on The Witcher conversation.
